Overview of the role:
We are seeking a skilled Node.js and AWS Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend applications using Node.js, and ensuring efficient deployment, management, and scaling of applications on AWS. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to create robust, high-performance, and scalable solutions.
What you will be expected to perform:
- Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js, ensuring clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Design RESTful APIs and integrate with various front-end and third-party services.
- Architect, deploy, and maintain applications on AWS using services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, and more.
- Manage and configure AWS infrastructure using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or the AWS Management Console.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and improve release cycles.
- Monitor and optimize application performance, ensuring responsiveness and efficiency in a high-traffic production environment.
- Work collaboratively with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Implement best practices for security, scalability, and disaster recovery.
- Provide support for debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience with Node.js and server-side JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with database systems (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of API design and development, specifically RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Solid grasp of security best practices in cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
You should be:

- Experience with event-driven architecture and message brokers (e.g., SQS, SNS, Kafka).
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Grafana.
